Mumford and Sons has released a brief teaser video for their new album slated to be released in September. There’s no real indication in the video about the music. It just appears to be an old-fashioned party, which seems pretty awesome to me. I’m very interested to see what direction the band will take after the success of Sigh No More. They also just announced very select tour dates for the late summer, which sadly does not include Indy. They will be playing in Lousiville on August 13 and Columbus, OH on August 14.
They have also announced very unique “Gentlemen of the Road” Stopovers in four somewhat obscure cities throughout America. The Stopovers will also occur in August, and will be sort of like a one day festival with a number of bands/artists performing as well as local vendors and businesses participating in the event. The nearest stopover to Indy will be in Dixon, IL on August 18 and will feature Gogol Bordello, Dawes, Abigail Washburn, The Very Best, Apache Relay, and Haim. Tickets are $69. Check out the official Mumford and Sons website for more details.
